Walk to End Alzheimer’s
May 15, 2012The Walk to End Alzheimer’s, a major contributor 
towards Alzheimer research, held its annual walk this year at Harrybrooke Park on May 5th. Cecilia Buck-Taylor, her husband, Bill Taylor, and her friend, Katie Fina, all walked the 3 mile course as members of “Team – Buck-Taylor.”
It was great to see so many friends and supporters at the walk including Michael Gold from Geron Nursing, Carolyn Haglund – the Director of the New Milford Senior Center, and long-time supporters to end Alzheimer’s, Ray and Marie Crawford. The people who participated ranged from infants to senior citizens and everyone was given a flower to commemorate the ways in which Alzheimer’s has touched their lives. A special thanks to Carol Lenz, Patricia Gibbs and Kathy Butler who were the top fundraisers.
In a country where over 5.4 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, the contributions of everyone who joined the walk will help make the future a more hopeful place for those with Alzheimer’s and those caring for loved ones who struggle with coping with this disease.
