Young Student Artists Show Off their New Milford-Inspired Projects
October 30, 2013What does it mean to be from New Milford? It’s a question that Rep. Cecilia Buck-Taylor posed recently to students at Sarah Noble Intermediate School, asking them to respond through their artwork. Eleven middle-schoolers participated, with some teaming up to submit one piece of art. Buck-Taylor visited the student artists today and gave them special certificates to commemorate their involvement in the project. During the month of November their work will be on display at the concourse that connects the Legislative Office Building in Hartford to the State Capitol building.
The students who participated included: Sophie Lefebvre, Alana Alves, Geovanna Coelho, Rachel Jackson, Kassey Donnelly, Sarah Fender, Alexandra Tsantilis, Allie McKibben, Taylor Briggs, Michael Mastriani, and Jack Schipul.
